# Changing your community name and contact details

Update your community name, description, contact details and date format on the Admin Settings page.

Your community name, description and contact details live on the **Admin Settings** page.

1. In the admin menu, open Platform Operations and press Settings.
2. In the General card, change what you need.
3. Press Save settings at the bottom of the form.

You see **Settings Saved** when it has worked.

## What each field does

- Site Name: the name of your community, shown across the site.
- Site Description: a short line about your community.
- Support Email and Contact Phone: how people can reach you. Write phone numbers in international format, starting with + and the country code.
- Default currency: used for money, such as marketplace prices. It does not change hours.
- Date and number format: how dates, times and numbers are written. It does not change the language.
- Footer Legal Text: shown in the site footer and on legal and about pages.

## More settings further down

Under **Additional configuration** there are more settings, such as the starting balance for new members. These save separately. Press **Save Changes** in that area when you change them.

Only the fields you changed are saved. Other admin pages keep their own values.
